I am an award-winning portrait, performing arts and dance photographer in Edinburgh.
My goal is to provide exceptional service. And to ensure that the images I create will help boost you or your brand.
I believe establishing a strong connection with my client is crucial. This helps with capturing their most comfortable and confident selves in my photography.
I have a friendly, approachable, and easy-going style. Which helps me connect with people and make them feel comfortable in front of the lens. I pay close attention to details, ensuring that I capture the best images of you on the day.
One of the things that I enjoy most about photography is the opportunity to meet so many different individuals. All are as unique as their photographs. I always find it fascinating to observe people fully expressing their personalities and emotions in front of the camera. It is a privilege for me to be able to capture special moments. And help my clients achieve their desired results. Whether it’s capturing a genuine smile or a candid moment of laughter. I feel grateful to be part of their journey towards self-expression and self-confidence.
Ever since I was a child, I’ve been fascinated by photography. The idea of capturing a moment in time and preserving it forever has always been magical to me. I remember spending hours poring over photo albums with my family. Marvelling at the images and the stories they told.
As I grew older, I began to experiment with taking photos myself. Like most, I started with a basic point-and-shoot camera and worked up from there. It was not until 2017, I decided to take the plunge and invest in a DSLR camera. It was a big financial commitment. But I knew it was worth it if I wanted to take my photography to the next level. Since then, I’ve been immersing myself in the world of photography.
In 2020, I decided to leave my well-established career and take the plunge back into academia. I started the journey to get a BA (Hons) in Professional Photography. Throughout the journey, I have been exposed to various genres. Some I have loved dance, portraiture, sports and still life photography and some I enjoyed a little less.
I can confidently say that this was the best decision I have ever made. Since then, I have been able to expand my knowledge and skills in photography. I am now more confident in my abilities than ever before. I know what really invigorates me, and helps me engage my creativity.
Strange to think that the hobbies that I have enjoyed since childhood, such as dance shows, theatre, and travelling the world. All now blend into the photography that I now love to shoot. This brings me joy every day. It’s wonderful to wake up and go to work knowing that I’ll be doing something I love.
